Fostering Good Research Practice through Integrity & Openness
This 2-hour workshop will be co-presented by Dr Ruth Dooley (Research Office) and Dr Jen Smith (Library) and focus on the topics of the responsible conduct of research and the integral importance of open research practices.
Dr Ruth Dooley will give an overview of Good Research Practice, Research Integrity policy and procedures, updates to the European Code of Conduct in Research Integrity, including the responsible use of AI.
Dr Jen Smith will focus on Opening up your research practices, how to publish with integrity (and how to avoid predators), open and digital research resources at the University of Galway.
By attending this workshop participants will;
- Be more aware of the principles of Good Research Practice (GRP) as outlined by the updated European Code of Conduct.
- Be more familiar with University of Galway policies and procedures around GRP and Research Integrity.
- Gain a deeper understanding of the breadth and depth of Open Research practices.
- Know what open research resources are available at the University of Galway.
