Citing & referencing using Endnote: an introduction Online
EndNote is a software designed to store and manage citation information. EndNote enables you to create and maintain your own searchable database of references, insert citations into Word documents, and format your references and bibliographies in any referencing style required. This online session is for anyone wanting to explore the capabilities of Endnote and how it might work for them.
By the end of this session, you will know
- the pros and cons of using Endnote to manage your referencing
- how to automatically export records from various sources to your Endnote library
- how to manually add references to your Endnote library
- the importance of organising and backing-up your Endnote library as it grows
- how to cite and reference sources in Microsoft Word documents using whatever citation style you require.
Prerequisites for attending this session
Please have the Endnote software installed on your laptop/PC as this is a practical workshop. You can obtain the software by opening a ticket with the Service Desk and selecting category 15. Software ->Request -> Endnote (Windows/Mac)
