Open Research Forum: "Openness and Sustainability: Researcher Perspectives"

Open Research Forum: "Openness and Sustainability: Researcher Perspectives" In-Person

Join us for our next Open Research Forum at the University of Galway on 4 Dec. 2025, "Openness and Sustainability: Researcher Perspectives". This event is co-hosted by the Open and Digital Research Team at the University of Galway Library, along with Atlantic Technological University.

Sustainability is a key strategic value for both universities, and this forum is a platform for researchers and university members to showcase how open research practices help to make their work more sustainable across a variety of disciplines. Sharing data, publishing outputs with licences that allow reuse, and contributing to open repositories and other infrastructure are all ways that researchers can create a more equitable, trustworthy, and sustainable world.

There will be speakers from both University of Galway and ATU, and the panel will feature early career researchers from both institutions.
